Iohannis: ‘Moldova’s chance is called Romania’

“Moldova has a great chance which is called Romania”, President Klaus Iohannis told students of the State University in Chisinau, during the second day if his visit in the Republic of Moldova.

“Moldova has a great chance that we couldn’t have at the moment of joining EU. Its chance is called Romania, which is a fully-fledged member of the European Union and the most fervent supporter of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration process.

Your part in defending and preserving Romanian language is a fundamental one, and I am grateful to you for that and I advise you to go on,” Iohannis told the Moldovan students.

Previously the meeting with the students, the Romanian head of state met the leaders of pro-European parties of the Republic of Moldova, the president of the Liberal Democrat Party of Moldova Vlad Filat, Democrat Party of Moldova chair Marian Lupu and the Liberal Party leader Mihai Ghimpu.
