“The fact that we came to Africa indicates a new approach by Romania toward the African continent. We have a new strategy for Africa, and, to give it weight, we planned this tour in Africa. And even though it has not concluded yet, we are on the third state visit here in Cape Verde. I can already conclude, and, if I may be very focused, through this tour, we have put Romania back on the African radar.
I believe Romanians appreciate it because many are aware of the relationships we have had, and I think many realize the enormous potential represented by a strong relationship between Romania and African states, between the European Union and Africa,” stated Klaus Iohannis, as reported by Libertatea.
Regarding costs of this tour, when asked, Iohannis replied: “Of course, it comes with some expenses, and I will instruct the press office to provide you with information in accordance with the law.”
It is good but besides Sub-Saharan Africa and Japan, were else has his highness been?
