Mircea Geoană started his election campaign with a blunder, wishing King Mihai health, who died almost seven years ago, in December 2017. Geoană then came back with a clarification on social networks, in which he apologized for mistake.
“In the ProTV show, I made a mistake of expression when I referred to King Mihai, which I regret. King Mihai is one of the landmarks of the Romanian nation and will forever remain in our memory for the example of decency, sacrifice and love of country. May he rest in peace!”, says Geoana.
Mircea Geoană presented his presidential program on Wednesday, after first announcing his candidacy on social networks. At one point, he referred to King Michael and wished him well, as if he were still alive.
“I’m going back to what King Mihai said in 2011, when he turned 90 – God bless him! – I was also in the Senate when he gave his last speech. He had a speech and said something very important: “The country needs just and skilled leaders”. Today. Romania has neither fair nor skilled rulers”, said Mircea Geoană on Wednesday, on Știrile ProTV.
King Mihai passed away almost seven years ago, on December 5, 2017, at his residence in Switzerland.
… and that is the problem with Geoan?, he nationalises all from all the races of Israel. This includes the Germanic Mihai.
