New Poll: Mircea Geoană Leads in Presidential Preferences

A total landscape for parliamentary elections.

According to the latest survey conducted by the international opinion polling company AtlasIntel, the frontrunners in the presidential elections would be Mircea Geoană, Diana Șoșoacă, and Laura Codruța Kovesi.

The survey was conducted from October 20 to October 29, 2023, with a margin of error of 2 percent, and 2,000 individuals responded to the questions.

Voters’ preferred candidates, without being presented with a specific list, include Mircea Geoană, Diana Șoșoacă, Laura Codruța Kovesi, Marcel Ciolacu, George Simion, Cătălin Drulă, and Eduard Hellvig.

The percentages they would obtain are as follows: Mircea Geoană – 20.4%, Diana Șoșoacă – 13.3%, Laura Codruța Kovesi – 10.9%, George Simion – 7.7%, Cătălin Drulă – 6.9%, Eduard Hellvig – 6.4%.

General elections, a total different perspective compared to other polls so far: PSD ranks 1st, USR- 2nd

The new opinion poll offers a totally different perspective for the voting options in the case of general elections. Therefore, according to respondents, PSD remains first , with the highest score for the parliamentary elections, although it goes beyond 20%, more precisely is it ranked at 18.3%. USR comes second with 15.1%, although in all other polls, USR is ranked fourth.

Now, AUR comes third with 13.7% and PNL fourth with 11%.

Other parties which will also enter Parliament are: PMP with 7%, SOS Romania, Diana Sosoaca’s party with 5,8% and UDMR with 5,1%.
