Save Romania Union (USR) leader Nicusor Dan says an ideological division of the union might take place, when the party will grow. The statement was made for RFI during a radio show.
“Right now there are lots of people listed with the party, with various political visions. There are differences of finesse, a context for the party to become the umbrella under which its members may stand real chances to overcome the 5% threshold to join the parliament. As the party will develop, divisions on ideological criteria might occur,” Nicusor Dan said.
He added that in USR there are people coming from the left and from the right side of the political spectrum on a conservatory-progressive scale and five parties ideologically different would not stand chances to enter parliament. Probably, Nicusor Dan stressed, when the party grows bigger, the union will divide ideologically, maintaining its civility.
