PM asks ministers to kick off reforms

PM Florin Cîțu said on Tuesday that he hasn’t got yet any reorganisation plan of ministries from any minister.

I asked ministers to embark on reforms within their ministries. Last year, I managed to proceed with the reorganisation at the Finance Ministry, to reduce the number of general directors and that prompted savings to the budget and he ministry has collected more than before and saved money. You can make reform and cut the number of general directors. It is the simplest reform.

For now, I encourage ministers to make reforms, after that I will require them to do this reorganisation. Till now no one has come to do that, otherwise expenses cannot be reduced”, the PM told  Radio Guerrilla.

As for the reform of the state companies, Citu said that money are included in this year budget for the state companies with losses, provided that they “will make reforms and reduce expenses”. “We are almost in June and nothing has been done. I tell the ministers they will not get this money at the budget rectification to have expenses covered by the end of the year, unless they make these reforms”.
