PM Dacian Ciolos asked the PNL and USR leaders to not use his image in the electoral campaign, although electoral posters with Ciolos’ picture have already appeared.
“I asked both the National Liberal Party and Save Romania Union to not use my image, precisely for I said I don’t want to send confusing messages to the people whom I told that I would not join the electoral campaign. Not because I don’t want to support certain ideas or values, but because I promised,” Dacian Ciolos told Realitatea TV.
The premier added that he would like voters to opt for the parties that had expressed endorsement for the principles that he had publicly presented, PNL and USR.
PM Ciolos’ picture is on the PNL’s posters. His image was also used by the USR in its electoral slogan, “Dacian Ciolo, finally you have somebody to vote for ”.
