Prime Minister Grindeanu said on Wednesday his decision about Justice Minister Florin Iordache is made and will be announced on Thursday.
“I will have a discussion with him tonight or tomorrow morning, whereas tomorrow, after the government sitting, or tomorrow afternoon I will announce my decision. (…) I’ve made up my mind,” PM Grindeanu said on Wednesday at the Parliament Palace, after the censure motion has been rejected.
He added the discussion will focus on the latest Constitutional Court decision.
“It’s not only about Mr. Iordache. I am interested also about the Constitutional Court decision. I want to better understand what happened today. I believe tomorrow is another important decision to be made by the Constitutional Court, beyond the person of the minister,” the Premier said.
The head of the government said he has had talks with the PSD representatives regarding Justice Minister Iordache.
“This is political government, however there are moments when we have to make decisions. The political leaders have had their points of view. The discussion with Mr. Iordache will not change my decision,” the head of the government said.
Referring to the possibility to appoint an independent at the helm of the Justice Ministry, Grindeanu said: “let’s take things step by step, by rounds.”
