The National Liberal Party (PNL) National Council has unanimously validated on Wednesday the National Political Bureau’s decision that Dacian Ciolos is designated the Liberals’ candidate for the Prime Minister office.
Also, the National Council voted to assume the ‘Romania 100’ platform, proposed by Prime Minister Dacian Ciolos.
“As from now, PNL goes on campaign on three elements: the candidates in every county, the ‘Romania 100’ platform and the proposal for Prime Minister – Dacian Ciolos,” secretary general of the party, Ilie Bolojan, said.
The voting procedures took place in the presence of Dacian Ciolos.
On October 24 the PNL National Political Bureau decided to assume the ‘Romania 100’ platform and to designate Dacian Ciolos as the Liberal’s candidate for PM after the general elections in December.
“You are a political party which accepted to start some changes. Probably they were painful for some of you,” Dacian Ciolos said, pointing to politicians that have taken a step back in order to meet the integrity criteria.
“I am fully confident that the evolution of the party will give the energy allowing you, allowing us to win the citizens’ confidence,” Ciolos added.
Dacian Ciolos has also told the Liberals that the old PNL slogan “by ourselves” is suited now more than ever, as change begins at individual level.
