President Klaus Iohannis on Wednesday informed he would meet U.S. vice president Joe Biden during his visit in U.S.A.
“I will have the pleasure to have a meeting with US vice president Joe Biden at the White House. This first official visit will be focused on the steadfast goal to enhance the strategic partnership between Romania and USA,” Iohannis told a press conference.
The Romanian President also announced he would attend several summits, among which a gathering dedicated to the counter of the Daesh/ Islamic State, at the invitation of the American President Barack Obama.
Klaus Iohannis will go to United States of America to take part in the UN General Assembly session after attending the European Council extraordinary meeting on immigrants on Wednesday.
UN General Assembly taking place September 15-October 6 in New York will tackle the UN agenda after 2015 due to set the world organization’s strategy for the next decade.
