President Iohannis wants to address the Parliament

President Klaus Iohannis on Friday sent a letter to the speakers of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies, asking to address the Parliament on May 9, on the occasion of the 140th celebration of the Romania’s state independence and on Europe Day.

“In compliance with the provisions of article 88 in the Romanian Constitution I would like to address the Parliament on the occasion of the 140th celebration since Romania’s state independence proclamation, as well as on the occasion of Europe Day,” reads the president letter sent to the Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu and to the Chamber Speaker Liviu Dragnea.

The Romanian president proposed the address should take place on May 9, at 12:00hrs.

Klaus Iohannis also addressed the Parliament on the state budget issue this year in February.
