President Klaus Iohannis has signed on Friday the decrees relieving from office the three resigning ALDE ministers, after the party led by Calin Popescu Tariceanu had quit the ruling coalition.
However, the Romanian President has mentioned nothing about the appointment of the interim ministers proposed by PM Viorica Dăncilă to replace the resigning ones.
Iohannis has announced in a press conference this week he won’t approve any new ministers and any reshuffle as a whole.
After ALDE had withdrawn its ministers from the Cabinet, PM Dăncilă proposed Niculae Bădălău for the Energy Ministry, Ioan Deneș for the Environment minister and Radu Oprea for the Parliament Liaison.
Therefore, the Cabinet remains without three ministers, while the interim mandates of another two, Interior and Education ministers, are expiring in September.
