Marcel Ciolacu, Nicolae Ciucă, Mircea Geoană, Elena Lasconi, George Simion, Kelemen Hunor, Ludovic Orban and Cristian Diaconescu were invited to the Digi24 studio to convince citizens that they deserve to be elected president. The debate format was created in partnership with Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca.
“I believe that through this partnership that we are trying, we are doing two important things. One, we are doing politicians a favor, because we are helping them express their ideas and visions in a constructive framework, and two, more importantly than one, we are doing the country and the people a favor, because we are helping them to understand in their essence, but also with the necessary nuances, the perspectives employed by various politicians. And look, in the context in which the world finds itself today, I believe that having access to the truth is fundamental, so I am happy about the partnership. I hope it will be useful for the country and for the people,” Daniel David, the rector of Babeș-Bolyai University, told Digi24.
