The Bucharest-Ilfov PSD organization has retorted on Monday on the recent exits from the party, stating that” all these desertions and attempt to seize the Government, the threats made by President Iohannis against the premier or the criminal complaint filed by the PNL chairman, are part of the Parallel State plan to block the justice reform.”
”PSD Bucharest-Ilfov condemns the desertions of come colleagues from the party and considers they will not be able to destabilize either the party or the PSD-ALDE parliamentary majority. The weak ones have left, the strong ones have remained. Treason is immoral, regardless of the side you are looking at it. To be in the force of those who have been your foes is dishonorable and cannot be justified with pompous arguments invoking high interests. Treason is an irreversible way! Nobody can trust traitors anymore! PSD Bucharest underlines that defectors have first betrayed those who voted for them. None of them could have won his mandate as MP by his own forces, as independents. They were voted for they had the logo of the strongest party in Romania behind,” reads a press release posted by PSD Bucharest on Facebook.
At the same time, the organization claims that PSD-ALDE majority is solid.
”Since PSD has started the reform of the judiciary system in Romania several attempts to rip the party or to topple down ruling have taken place. The attempts to seize the Government, the threats of President Iohannis against the premier, the criminal complaint filed by PNL chairman, and now the desertions of some spineless, drifted colleagues are part of the same failed plan of the Parallel State to block the justice reform and the enforcement of the ruling programme. PSD-ALDE majority is solid, and these repeated attacks against our party make us even more achieve what we have started. We will stand united, we will not give up, we shall go all the way,” the press release further says.
