The Social-democratic Party has set its legislative priorities for the coming parliamentary session in Mamaia on Saturday, including mining laws, lobby, health and land sale, as well as laws on referendum, energy, stock raising and urbanism.
Thus, among the legislative priorities established by the PSD, set out by the leader of the party, Liviu Dragnea, in the opening of the National Executive Committee, are the law on public-private partnership, the law on prevention, the law on the establishment of the Sovereign Development and Investment Fund, the law of referendum, justice laws, bill on pensions, law on electric power and gas, on stock raising, health bill, vaccination, urbanism law, legislation on the management of packaging and packaging waste, the Law on the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence, the bill on Mines, and the Law on the Establishment of the House of Commerce in Romania.
Dragnea listed, as priorities, also the state budget law, which will be submitted to the Parliament in October, the Administrative Code, the Labour Code, the Local Public Finance Code.
The PSD leader also said that the law on selling agricultural land and forestry is a legislative priority for this parliamentary session.

“The project is almost ready (…). We are interested in increasing the chances of Romanian citizens to buy Romanian land. We cannot stand indifferent to what is happening in Romania with our land being bought by foreigners,” Dragnea said.

Prime Minister Mihai Tudose declared on Saturday evening after the PSD’s meeting in Mamaia that he plans to establish a list of strategic objectives of national importance, including Tarom, Bucharest Airports Company and Bucharest-Brasov highway.

“Regarding the Bucharest-Brasov highway (…) we are seriously considering whether this big project can be declared as strategic project of national importance. It is not on European money, it is with money from the budget. Money is anyway in the budget of the Ministry of Transport. Let’s start as quickly as possible, especially because the designs are ready, with environmental notices, we can actually start building on this section,” PM Mihai Tudose said in a press conference.

The Premier mentioned that it is intended that Tarom and the Bucharest National Airports Company will be declared strategic objectives of national importance.

Referring to Pension Pillar II, PM Tudose said that “everything that means Pillar II talks is at the level of the Ministry of Finance, the ASF and the National Pensions House. Small problems have been found there with regard to the commissions – they were supposed to be collected in the first year, they have collected it for 10 years. The analysis will be completed next week,” Tudose said.

He added that there is enough money to pay pensions.
