Romania takes over OSCE annual presidency

Romania took over the annual presidency of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed on Tuesday. The term will be carried out by ambassador Cristian Istrate, the Permanent Representative of Romania in Vienna and by a team of diplomats of the Romanian Permanent Mission in the Austrian Capital.

According to the MFA press release, Romania will pay special attention to fighting terrorism, transnational organized crime and illegal migration inside OSCE region, as well as to rising the cyber security, fighting illegal human and drugs trafficking and to security management of the OSCE states’ borders.
