Romanian President, official visit in Chisinau, signs with Maia Sandu a cooperation declaration

Romanian President Klaus Iohannis is to send a firm message of support in the effort of reform, democratization, irreversible implementation of the principles of the rule of law and securing the European path of the Republic of Moldova, according to a press release sent by the Presidential Administration.

On the occasion of the trip to Chisinau, Klaus Iohannis and President Maia Sandu will sign the “Joint Declaration on bilateral cooperation to strengthen the resilience of the Republic of Moldova”.

“Also, the President of Romania will appeal to all international partners to continue providing comprehensive, predictable and sustained assistance to the Republic of Moldova, on all levels, especially in the context of the war of aggression waged by Russia against Ukraine and all the risks arising from this complex security situation”, states the Presidential Administration.
At 11.00, President Iohannis will be received by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, at the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova, where face-to-face talks, official talks and the ceremony of signing the Joint Declaration of the President of Romania and the President of the Republic of Moldova regarding to bilateral cooperation for strengthening the resilience of the Republic of Moldova Joint press statements will take place around 12:00.
At the end of the visit, the head of state will lay a bouquet of flowers at the bust of Mihai Eminescu in the “Ştefan the Great and the Holy” Public Garden.
