Senate Speaker: Iohannis is “a beneficiary” of the “parallel state”

Senate Speaker Calin Popescu Tariceanu has stated on Monday that president Klaus Iohannis is “beneficiary” of the “parallel state”, arguing “the head of state’s statements and attitude confirming that”. Tariceanu’s statement comes after a previous press release by him, saying that President Iohannis’ goal is to win a new presidential mandate.

His latest statements and attitude after he has taken office show us that he is the beneficiary of this system of the parallel state. There cannot be two parallel state powers, a legitimate one and illegitimate one,” Tariceanu said.

In a press release sent on Sunday, the Senate speaker stated that president Iohannis was behind the so-called “parallel state” that supports the abuses of the force institutions.

Tariceanu also said that the President eyes to win another mandate at Cotroceni Palace, but also intends to hide the potential illegalities committed when he was mayor of Sibiu.

ALDE chairman also announced that his party would do its best so that the justice laws should be debated and adopted by the Parliament in this legislature.
