Angry he was not on the PSD list for a MEP seat anymore, old party member Ioan Mircea Pascu has slammed the current Social Democrat leadership, commenting on Facebook that „each bird loves to hear itself sing”.
Former Defence minister, with a long political activity, Pascu posted on Facebook:
„You must either have an atrophied sense of preservation, or to be suicidal if you are doing your best to remove the few people who are closed to you. But, you can’t put in what God’s left out, even if it’s also true that each bird loves to hear itself sing”.
Asked by someone if „are MEPs not supposed to also retire”, Pascu replied: „they are the ones who retire, they are not retired by others”.
The Social Democrat leaders have voted on Monday the list of candidates for the European elections, with Rovana Plumb (currently minister of European Funds), Carmen Avram (journalist) and Claudiu Manda (chairman of the committee for the SRI control) opening the list.
PSD has filed the candidate list to the Central Electoral Bureau today.
