The Save Romania Union (USR) MPs have called on Romanians to take a day off next Wednesday to protest in Izvor Square during the debates in parliament of the censure motion against the Viorica Dancila Government, filed by the opposition.
“USR has decided to call al Romanian citizens for a peaceful protest on Wednesday, June 27, in Izvor Park, in front of the Parliament, as of 12.00h. The rally will be called ‘Take a day off for Romania’. USR calls on all citizens to come to Bucharest on Wednesday, the day when the censure motion is to be votes by Parliament,” Deputy Cristian Ghinea said on Saturday.
The decision was made by the USR national standing bureau.
The Deputy called on Romanians to wear a white armlet with something written on it: no criminal convicted, as Japanese strike.
The message comes as PSD wants to act to the benefit of Liviu Dragnea and to amend the criminal codes by emergency ordinance, the USR says.
“We make an appeal to all political parties, to civil society to join the protest,” USR said, adding that the coalition of all forces is needed to put an end to this governance of convicted, to ensure public safety,” Ghinea said.
