11-year old Romanian living in the UK delivers remarkable speech in British Parliament

Victor Ciunca, an 11-year-old Romanian boy living in the UK, discussed in the British Parliament about mental health, especially of young people, and asked the Government to use the allocated funds efficiently.

He is the son of Romanians who have immigrated to Wales and has represented the young people in Britain and Wales in the House of Commons where he had a remarkable speech, ziare.com reports.

The young Romanian recalled that mental illness, such as depression, anxiety and stress affects one in ten young people, 15% of these problems being triggered since the age of 14.

“Last week, the Government has allocated 2 billion pounds for mental health services, including mental services for children and young people. We need to make sure that these funds are used effectively,” Victor Ciunca said.

The boy ended his speech by thanking for attention in English, Welsh and Romanian.
