22 tourists, nine children included, blocked on a mountain peak in Vâlcea

Mountain rescuers are trying to save 22 tourists, nine children included, who are stuck on Roman Peak in Vâlcea, due to an impracticable road, covered with snow.

The tourists have asked for help by phone and the mountain rescuers and gendarmes have left to find them.

The head of the Vâlcea Mountain Rescue Service, Mircea Lera said that the tourists had reached a closed road, covered with snow and they cannot advance anymore.

Lera added that the snow removal vehicles had already arrived in the area and the tourist would be soon climbed down.
