22-year-old from Bacău had his licentiate examination in hospital, then had emergency brain surgery

A 22-year-old young man from Bacău had his licentiate examination online in a hospital bed, and then had a life-threatening brain tumor removed. Carlo underwent surgery to remove a 9-centimeter mass that had covered both frontal lobes of his brain. The boy, newly graduated in Electrical Engineering, Energy and Applied Informatics, was operated by the doctors of the Neurosurgery Hospital in Iaşi, he feels well and will be discharged soon.

Carlo came to the doctors with severe headaches and unusual symptoms. Specialists consulted him and following imaging investigations they discovered a giant brain tumor, which was putting his life in danger.

This remarkable case began when the young student had unusual symptoms and persistent headaches. After consulting specialists and performing high-precision imaging investigations, a brain tumor of impressive proportions was discovered. The tumor, with a diameter of 9 cm, represented a serious threat to the young man’s life. Despite the pressure and stress caused by this situation, the young man did not give up on his dream of passing his graduation exam. With determination and the will to overcome the obstacle, he worked hard and prepared the material for the exam directly from the hospital bed, while being supervised by the doctors,” the hospital representatives said.

“Immediately after the exam, the young man underwent a complex surgical intervention to remove the tumor. Skilled neurosurgeons and the entire medical staff made extraordinary efforts to achieve a total resection of the tumors while maintaining the integrity of the important vessels in the brain. The operation was a success and the young man was released from danger”, the doctors from the Neurosurgery Hospital in Iași also reported. Currently, the young engineer is in the recovery period and is doing well.
