An earthquake of 4.4 degrees on the Richter scale occurred Sunday night at 23.28h in Vrancea region, at a depth of 125 kilometres, according to the National Institute for Earth Physics (INFP).
The quake had its epicentre in Vrancea County, close to the towns of Focsani (39 km), Covasna (42 km), Marasesti (46 km), Ramnicu Sarat (48 km) and Targu Secuiesc (52 km).
Since early this year in Vrancea area two earthquakes have been recorded, with a magnitude of 4.6 degrees on January 24 and March 16, the last one having its epicentre in Buzau county.
