66 ships blocked near Zimnicea due to the low level of the Danube

Sixty-six ships were stationed near the town of Zimnicea (southern Romania) on Saturday evening due to the low level of the Danube, while the navigation was closed on Bala arm for the repositioning of naval equipment, while in the Bechet area six pusher ships were making manoeuvres with barges.
According to information released on Friday by the Romanian Naval Authority (ANR) in the Zimnicea area 66 ships were stationed due to low level of the Danube.
ANR also shows that due to low level of the Danube, in the Hâr?ova harbour the navigation is conducted on the relationship Bala – Borcea.
“During July 31, 7.00h – August 1, 20:00h the navigation is closed on Bala arm for the repositioning of naval equipment. In the Bala arm area there are no vessels or convoys waiting,” ANR informed.
