Archbishop of Tomis Teodosie has retorted to the Patriarchy’s criticism, which rejected his request to become metropolitan, saying that he won’t turn from his deeds, that he had a Christian attitude and that the only “sanction” he fears is God’s.
Teodosie said in a press statement on Friday that he had filed for the Tomis Archbishopric to become metropolitan church upon the believers’ request, and that he has letters including from the Romanians in Diaspora.
He argued that he had “a Christian attitude” during the pandemic. “I had thousands of people with me, not for me, to become a star. I wanted to be in prayer and I will be after pandemic, too. I decided to officiate the Holly Mass every day, what’s wrong about that?”, he asked.
“I defended the right faith, which is a positive thing, and the believers followed me. I spoke in the name of God, not on my own”, he added.
