Babeș-Bolyai University has brought together three research-development-innovation centers in a new platform dedicated to biomedical imaging in Romania, called Inspire, in the first phase of its organization, the higher education institution announces. It describes Inspire as “the most advanced biomedical imaging facility in Eastern Europe and one of the most advanced internationally).
The Inspire platform is designed as one of the pillars of the new UBBMed program within the UBB School of Health. According to the press release, it is the result of an older collaboration between two reference institutes of UBB, namely the Institute for Advanced Studies in Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health and the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research in Bio-Nano-Sciences.
- BrainQ Platform (Clinical MRI Center), with facilities for clinical biomedical imaging and virtual reality systems and an artificial intelligence and data analysis laboratory (part of the Mental Health Institute);
- Preclinc MRI Center (part of the Institute of Bio-Nano-Sciences);
- Center for Contrast Agents and Therapeutics (part of the Institute of Bio-Nano-Sciences).
