The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) warns that, until Sunday morning, precipitation will be reported in most of the country and snowfall in the mountains. At the same time, a yellow code for strong winds and a yellow code for sleet and ice have been issued.
Meteorologists have issued a warning of moderate precipitation, snowfall and snow cover in the mountains and strong winds valid from Friday at 6:00 PM to Sunday morning at 10:00 AM. Thus, during the mentioned period, there will be precipitation in most of the country.
According to the ANM, there will be “mixed precipitation in Transylvania and Moldova, snowfall will predominate in the mountainous area, and in the rest of the territory there will be mostly rain. From the evening of Saturday (December 21) in eastern Wallachia, in Dobrogea and in southern Moldova there will be snowfall and sleet”.
Meteorologists also inform that “locally, quantities of water of 10-20 l/sq m will accumulate. Isolated frost and ice will form. In the western, eastern and southeastern regions, the wind will have temporary intensification, with speeds generally of 40-50 km/h”.
The National Meteorological Agency has also issued a yellow warning for strong winds valid from Saturday morning at 03:00 until Sunday at 10:00. Meteorologists announce that “in southern Moldova, the eastern half of Wallachia and in Dobrogea the wind will intensify with speeds generally of 55-70 km/h”.
A yellow code for sleet and ice has also been issued, which is valid from Saturday evening at 8:00 PM until Sunday morning. “On the night of Saturday to Sunday (December 21/22) in Tulcea and Constanța counties, as well as in the eastern half of Ialomița and Călărași counties, it will temporarily snow sleet and ice and ice will form,” meteorologists inform.

In the Capital, starting from Friday at 6:00 PM and until Sunday morning at 10:00 AM, the weather will be cloudy and cold. There will be temporary light rain, and the wind will intensify throughout the day with speeds of 40-45 km/h. The maximum temperature will be 5-6 degrees, and the minimum 2-3 degrees.
