Blood donation from R. of Moldova was blocked three hours at the customs

After the disaster following the ‘Colectiv’ Club fire, the Republic of Moldova offered help to Romania with a donation of five hundred litres of blood, which was stopped at Albita customs, informs. Romanian customs officers refused to allow the transport to go through because the documents were not right.
The officials in Chisinau admit they are familiar with the procedure for granting such aid, but say they have requested information from the Interior Ministry and the Romanian Foreign Ministry.
The transport was stopped for three hours and the involvement and a third Ministry was needed, a Health Ministry representative, in order to make the border guards let the transport leave for its destination.
