Bucharest deputy mayor Aurelian Bădulescu has told a public debate on Friday that he will propose councilmen a draft that the activity of some supermarkets should be closed over weekends, „to avoid traffic”.
„We’ll start talks with the large supermarket chains and I will have an initiative to close commercial activities of certain supermarkets in Bucharest on Saturdays and Sundays, precisely to give them the opportunity to stock up very well over the weekend and to avoid the high-traffic in Bucharest”, Aurelian Bădulescu said, adding that the draft will restrict stocking transports to 3.5 tons.
„Restricting stocking transports to 3.5 tons will upset retailers, but there are citizens recommending this thing to us”, the deputy mayor explained.
