Bucharest General Council decides to rename Herastrau Park as King Michael I Park

The Bucharest General Council has decided on Tuesday, upon the proposal of Mayor General Gabriela Firea, to change the name of Herastrau Park into King Michael I Park.

Mayor Firea has proposed the change at the beginning of the council’s sitting, stiri.tv.ro informs. The proposal was added to the meeting’s supplementary agenda.

The PNL municipal councillors have initiated a kindred draft decision of the Bucharest General Council on the basis of which the name King Michael I of Romania Boulevard would be attributed to the road section Pavel Dimitrievici-Kiseleff, bounded between the Piata Presei Square and the Arch of Triumph.
