Bucharest, the most traffic-congested city in Europe

Bucharest ranks first in Europe on traffic jam, or at least these are the facts revealed by a study conducted by GPS TomTom navigation, traffic and map producer, presented by Swiss ‘Le Matin’.

According to the survey, Bucharest was the most traffic-congested city in Europe last year. The time spent in traffic jams is increasing any routing in Bucharest by 41 percent, while it is 89 pc higher in the morning.

In the European ranking on traffic jam, Bucharest is followed by Warsaw (where the drive time is 40 pc higher due to the road congestion), Rome (38 pc), London (37 pc) and Marseilles (36 pc).

Istanbul and New Mexico top the traffic jam rankings worldwide.
