Child injured in the Capital City Hall building, after a statuette fell on him

A 7-year-old child was injured on Monday, around 1:40 p.m., in the main entrance hall of the Bucharest City Hall headquarters, after one of the decorative columns, located at the entrance, on the plinth, fell on him. The representatives of the Capital City Hall said in a press release that, according to the information provided by the witnesses, the child climbed the column and fell with it, suffering trauma.

The child injured by a statuette was transported to the Grigore Alexandrescu Children’s Hospital in the capital, in a serious general condition. At the time of boarding the ambulance, the child was conscious.

He was stabilized in the intensive care and the necessary investigations, both biological and imaging, were conducted. The child is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit and is under constant monitoring, say hospital representatives.

We mention that in the hall where the accident took place there are two decorative columns, works of monumental plastic art, exhibited there since 2016″, the Capital City Hall reported.
