Dacia unionists sparked labor conflict

Autoturisme Dacia Union (SAD) decided late on Monday to trigger the labor conflict at Territorial Labor Inspectorate (ITM) Arges, after refusing to accept the proposals made by the management company, according to an announcement made by the French Group Renault, the owner of Romanian car manufacturer.

“Over the past two months, the administration has shown permanently its openness to social dialogue and friendly negotiation in employees and company interests. Therefore, the administration has already made three offers in the negotiations. Moreover, the administration responded to SAD request and gave an offer for one year, although is convinced that the conclusion of a two-year contract would provide a guarantee of manufacturing volumes at a high level on medium-term. SAD was inflexible and was not ready to give up on any of its requests,” according to the quoted source.

In the spirit of negotiations, the management representatives say they expect a real openness to discussion of the union.

The unionists demand a wages increase of RON 400 and an annual performance bonus of RON 2,300, amounts that Dacia management has not agreed.
