Mathnasium, the U.S.-based educational network renowned worldwide for its unique approach to teaching math, is opening its first center in Romania, located in Bucharest. The official opening will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Strada Nicolae G. Caramfil no. 49, in the Aviației district.
The event is organized in partnership with the Commercial Service of the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, marking an important milestone in promoting American-inspired educational models in Romania.
The opening ceremony will welcome representatives from the business community, leaders in the education sector, members of the diplomatic corps, parents, and children. The agenda will include remarks from special guests representing the U.S. Embassy and Mathnasium, demonstration activities for children, and networking opportunities for attendees.
Mathnasium is designed for children aged 6 to 14 and aims to make learning math both enjoyable and effective. Through an innovative method tailored to each student’s individual needs, Mathnasium helps children build self-confidence and academic performance, focusing on logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
“We are thrilled to bring this revolutionary method to Romania—a method that has changed the lives of thousands of children around the world. Our partnership with the U.S. Embassy’s Commercial Service underscores our commitment to educational excellence and international collaboration. The first centers will open in Bucharest to establish our operational foundation. By introducing the brand locally and identifying the best channels to reach our audience, we’ll be well-positioned to transition into franchising and identify the right partners to build and operate centers in all cities with a population over 100,000,” said Dana Bănică, who signed the master franchise agreement. As the first Master Franchisee of Logiscool, Dana previously developed a network of over 60 schools for digital education in Romania.
