The batch of Olympic students at the Balkan Physics Competition (BPhO) 2024 obtained the competition trophy, three gold and one silver medals, as announced by the Minister of Education, Ligia Deca, in a Facebook post on Sunday evening, June 23.
Bolohan Vlad Tudor, Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics, gold medal, absolute 1st Prize and Balkaniade Physics Trophy 2024.
“Vlad also received the special Prize for obtaining the maximum score in at least one subject”, according to the post of Minister Deca.
Condrea Alexandru – Bucharest International Theoretical Informatics High School, gold medal and the special prize for obtaining the maximum score in at the subjec.
Mihai Popuțe Dragoș – “Grigore Moisil” Theoretical High School Timișoara, gold medal Negreanu Dana Ilinca – Bucharest International Theoretical High School of Informatics, silver medal and the special prize for obtaining the maximum score in at least one subject.
The leaders of the Romanian team are teacher Adriana Radu from the “Mihai Viteazul” National College in Ploiești, specialist inspector at the County School Inspectorate (ISJ) Prahova and professor Costin Dobrotă, from the “Dimitrie Cantemir” National College in Onești.
The Olympiad is in its 6th edition, as shown on the dedicated website, on which the results and competition topics have not yet been published. Students from 12 countries participated in the competition. The Olympiad ends on Monday, June 24, with the students from Montenegro returning home.
