Emergency landing of Turkish Airlines aircraft on Otopeni Airport, passenger with cardiac problems dies

An aircraft belonging to Turkish Airlines, on route from Hanover to Istanbul, made an emergency landing Monday night, on Otopeni Airport near Bucharest, due to a medical emergency of a passenger facing cardiac problems. The passenger died shortly after the landing, antena3.ro informs.

The plane heading from Hanover to Istanbul landed at 23.30h, spokesman of the National Company Bucharest Airports, Valentin Iordache, said.

He said the passenger, aged 60, died half an hour after the landing, although the airport’s medical teams granted him the first aid.

The plane took off for Istanbul at about 3.00h.
