Ex-MP Sebastian Ghita, new TV interview, reports former DNA head Kovesi

Former Social Democrat and tycoon Sebastian Ghita has reported the ex-DNA chief prosecutor Laura Codruta Kovesi to the Section investigating magistrates, for setting up an organized criminal group. The businessman claim that Kovesi would have asked him to pay the flight that was going to bring Nicolae Popa from Indonesia back in Romania. Popa was sentenced in the FNI file.

Ghita was launching the same charges against Kovesi also last year. However, following an investigation carried out by the General Prosecutor’s Office proved that the Interior Ministry’s had taken are of Popa’s extradition, and not the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA).

Former PSD deputy Sebastian Ghita is judged in several files, and is currently refugee in Serbia, with the extradition still pending.

” (…) Mrs. Kovesi lied when she had said she didn’t know me, that she hadn’t been at my place and had no relation with me. What is more serious is how she acted afterwards. How she has been trying day by day, month by month to set up this working group to do anything they want, to fabricate files to anyone and dominate society in an illegal way. We were all wondering how these files ended up to Onea or Negulescu. It’s time the prosecutors with the General Prosecutor’s Office investigate the activity of this lady in conducting and coordinating the two prosecutors who are currently criminally investigated“, Ghita said.
