Fire injures three foreign sailors in Constanta Port

Three sailors needed medical attention following a fire aboard a ship in Constanta Sud-Agigea Port on Tuesday. Two men have been intoxicated with smoke and the third has got a shoulder injury.

The fire burst out on a foreign ship anchored to pier 117 of the Constanta Port.

Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, but three of the sailors on board needed medical attention. After the fire caught the engine compartment of the ship, two members of the crew got intoxicated with smoke, while a third one was injured at one of his shoulders.

The ship, under the Comore Islands Pavilion, had 17 sailors on board.
