H.E. Huo Yuzhen Ambassador of Rep. of China to Romania, for the first time in Oas Country

In the year that celebrates 65 years of diplomatic ties between China and Romania, Her Excellency, Mrs. Huo Yuzhen, Ambassador of the people’s Republic of China to Romania, paid an official visit Friday in Satu Mare county, at the invitation of the mayor Dorel Coica, together with her husband, Colonel Zhao Guoxi and the press attache of the Chinese Embassy in Romania, Zheng Zhang.
According to mayor Coica, they discussed many topics, including the construction of a bridge over Somes river, about traditional Chinese medicine and the possibility of creating an air links between Satu Mare and China, local media informs. In her turn, the Ambassador of the Republic of China to Romania showed interest in cooperating mainly in agriculture, cultivating medicinal herbs and building a processing plant.
“I explained to Mrs. Ambassador that we have thermal water that can be used as heating in greenhouses. They are interested in infrastructure and tourism. We talked about the strategic position of Satu Mare county, located near the borders with Hungary and Ukraine. They showed great interest in the economic opportunities of the city and county of Satu Mare.” mayor Dorel Coica said.
Also, the Chinese diplomat visited Negresti-Oas City, being for the first time in this region full of Romanian tradition, an area known as Oas Country.
The local delegation headed by Mayor Aurelia Fedorca unveiled to the Asian guests the beautiful places and the investment opportunities, according to the Negresti-Oas City Hall press release.
“I proposed to Her Excellency to facilitate relationships with Chinese cities with which we could achieve relations at various levels. First of all, we are interested in attracting investors, but also to set cultural partnerships. I was assured that it would do everything possible to bring investors to the area, especially because H.E. loved Oas Country from the first contact, ” Mayor Aurelia Fedorca stressed.
