More than 260 households in 11 counties have been affected by floods in the past 24 hours. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has reported that nine people have been evacuated preventively.
IGSU informed Wednesday morning that firefighters have intervened non-stop in recent days in support of the population and of the authorities in the areas affected by floods.
“Consequences were recorded in 11 counties (Argeş, Bacău, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Călăraşi, Iaşi, Maramureş, Mureş, Neamţ, Prahova, Suceava and Vaslui). The rescue missions aimed to evacuate 38 basements and 262 households, 45 homes being affected. No victims are registered, due to the firefighters operations, with 9 people being preventively evacuated from areas where there was an imminent risk of floods,” IGSU informs.
