Romanians, worried about the state of health, rising prices and corruption

After an almost endless succession of various crises, the population of Romania has a realistic-pessimistic assessment of the direction in which the country is heading, respectively of the evolution of the economy and personal financial status. Two-thirds of Romanians believe that the country is going in the wrong direction, and one-fifth indicates a good direction. Regarding the evolution of the economy, just over 40% anticipate a negative evolution, while almost 50% believe that the economy will either stagnate or have a positive evolution. The most interesting photo, however, is the comparison with the situation 10 years ago (2013) when INSCOP Research asked a similar question as part of the Truth About Romania Barometer and which shows an almost identical assessment of the evolution of the economy. The assessment of the family’s financial situation compared to a year ago is obviously rather negative. The estimation of the future personal financial situation is, however, a more balanced one, with the majority declaring that it will be similar to the current one. The biggest sources of concern are one’s own health and that of the family, rising prices and corruption”, states the general director of INSCOP Research, Remus Ştefureac.
