Romania’s President-elect Klaus Iohannis became on Tuesday the first Romanian politician having over one million Facebook likes. The most impressive rise of Iohannis’ fans on Facebook was registered on Saturday, on the eve of presidential runoff, when supporters ground increased with over 185,000 up to 848,419, outrunning his rival Victor Ponta.
Now, with one million and 43 thousand fans, Klaus Iohannis ranks first in the Romanian politicians’ top, followed by Victor Ponta- 718,584 fans, Traian Basescu- 321,541 fans and Elena Udrea- 266,565 fans.
Iohannis ranges 42nd in the Romanian Facebook pages ranking.
