Landing Tarom aircraft left the runway at Chisinau Airport

A Tarom aircraft on Bucharest – Chisinau flight left the runway when landing at Chisinau International Airport. None of the 39 passengers were injured, but everyone on board had terrifying moments.

The ATR 42-500 aircraft had 39 passengers on board. According to airport representatives no one has been injured, tvr.ro informs.

“The TAROM ROT 207 Bucharest – Chisinau flight, an ATR 42 aircraft, landed at 18:12 at Chisinau airport on June 4, 2017. In the landing procedure, during braking, due to unknown reasons, the aircraft had some abnormal movements, The crew made efforts to rectify the aircraft that came out of the track. There were 39 passengers on board that were safely disembarked, no one was injured,” the company said in a statement.

An investigation has begun. The aircraft will be subject to technical checks at the Chisinau Airport.

Landings and take-offs from Chisinau Airport were blocked, according to local media. Some of the flights were redirected to Iasi.
