A 27-year-old man has been taken under remand for allegedly killing a female doctor who had been gone missing a week ago. The 32-year-old woman’s body has been found in the house of the alleged murderer following the investigator’s searches.
The relatives of young female doctor Orsolya Benedek, who was a doctor at the intensive care unit of the Targu Mures Emergency Hospital, say that she has been last seen in the parking of a supermarket in the city on December 11 at 20:50. Her car was also discovered there.
The man has been the main suspect in the missing case, with sources within the investigators claiming the two were having an affair. Police officers put out an APB in her case.
“Police officers were notified in this case related to the crime of unlawful deprivation of freedom, opening a criminal file. The main suspect in the case has been identified as a 27-year-old man from Corunca commune, Mures county. He has been remanded for 24 hours. Subsequently, the court ordered house searches at the suspect’s place. Following searches, policemen identified a woman’s body, which is to undergo a post-mortem examination,” Mures Police informs.
Orsolya Benedek has gone missing in a supermarket’s parking. Policemen have taken the recordings of the video cameras in the parking, with sources revealing that the images show that the woman get up in the alleged killer’s car voluntarily. The crime’s motives are yet unknown.
