The National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) has re-assessed the goods seized in ICA file regarding the privatization of the Food Research Institute (ICA) to EUR 32.58m, EUR 7.3m more than the sum set by the assessors. The goods are the former headquarters of Antena 3 private television and several buildings owned by Grivco, the company of media tycoon Dan Voiculescu, who is serving a ten-year prison sentence in this very case.
The final reports are to be handed to the Finance Ministry, which is the owner of these goods, ANAF informed on Tuesday.
Bucharest Court of Appeal sentenced Dav Voiculescu to ten years in prison in ICA file on August 2014. The former head of the Institute, doctor Gheorghe Mencinicopschi got 8 years in jail, former Communication minister Sorin Pantis have to serve a seven-year prison sentence.
The court also ordered the seizure of several building owned by the defendants, among which the HQs of Antena 3 and of Grivco holding, following a total prejudice estimated to EUR 60m.
