A student from Bucharest is being investigated by the FBI for acts of terrorism. According to Libertatea, the 17-year-old boy was allegedly recruited into a global network of criminals and sent hundreds of bomb threats to schools in Europe and the United States.
The FBI requested the student’s arrest and extradition to the United States, and the Bucharest Court of Appeals granted the request. If he does not contest the decision, the boy will be extradited to America and will be investigated there for extremely serious charges.
American prosecutors say he was part of a group that sought to collapse the world order and destroy civilized society through actions of extreme violence, a network in which several minors were recruited.
The Romanian student is accused of joining the group when he was 15 years old, and was active until last year.
The FBI says the boy sent 450 bomb threats to schools, hospitals and government institutions in the United States and Great Britain.
He operated using the lover boy method – he approached girls online and tried to convince them to produce pornographic materials, and if the victims refused to do so, he would issue bomb threats and point to the young women he was exploiting as the perpetrators.
