Florian Walter, owner of Romprest was located and the Romanian authorities have asked for the businessman’s extradition, whose name was issued an arrest warrant in absentia for a case in of tax evasion.
Judicial sources said the Ministry of Justice has filed an extradition request on Florian Walter’s name, the businessman who controls Romprest, investigated by DIICOT for tax evasion, money laundering and establishing a criminal organization.
Latest reports last month said he was being located in Monaco, according to judicial sources. Other sources said he had allegedly arrived in Cuba. He is accused of money laundering of EUR 14 million and the damage caused to the state is EUR 4.5 million.
