The Prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) have conducted on Thursday searches at Suceava County Council, judicial sources quoted by realitatea.net said.
They targeted several offices, including one of Suceava County Council President Catalin Nechifor, who, according to sources, is away to Bucharest. The prosecutors checked the institution’s purchases, including the ones for the direction of county roads within the institution Monitorul de Suceava informs.
According to information provided by the quoted source, documents related to the Moara landfill are being checked.
The searches aim to corruption deeds and deeds similar to those of corruption during 2003-2015.
House searches have been carried out in 12 locations in Bucharest and Suceava, Botosani and Iasi, four of which are premises of public institutions, the rest representing the offices of some companies.
