Florian Walter left the country, last location in Monaco – sources say

Businessman Florian Walter, suspected for coordinating a tax evasion network and given border instruction on May 6, allegedly left the country ten days before the beginning of the investigation, last time being located in Monaco, according to judicial sources.

Prahova Court is to analyze on Friday the prosecutors’ request for remand. If on Walter’s name will be issued an arrest warrant, national and international follow-up procedures could be started, add the sources.

On Tuesday other sources were saying he has allegedly arrived in Cuba. The businessman was not found during the last week, after the searches in the file he is accused of tax evasion and money laundering. While prosecutors were seeking evidence in the house and at its headquarters, Walter allegedly was on his way to France. According to sources, the businessman had reached Nice by car, and from there he flew to North America, with the final destination Cuba. But before that, the former businessman had withdrawn money from a bank in Monaco, journalists say.

In the above mentioned file he is accused of laundering EUR 14 million and the damage caused to the state is EUR 4.5 million.
